One of the largest green bean markets in the world during its heyday, the Bean Market today provides a link to South Carolina's past. The Bean Market is also Lake City’s community gathering space, and is host to special events like the “Writers in the Round” concert featuring Frank Rogers, producer and songwriter of 36 number-one country hits.
Community Center
The Bean Market is a multipurpose cultural and community center at the heart of downtown Lake City, South Carolina. Standing just across from the town’s Village Green, the historic building hosts the town’s weekly farmer’s market during spring and summer months. The building has been completely restored to serve as an attractive and modern venue for conferences, meetings, weddings, receptions and other events.
